The first step in the Financial Advice process is getting to know each other - we need to understand where you are starting from and what your goals and needs are, and you need to know how we operate, what our values are and whether you can feel confident in working with us. After all, your finances are a huge part of your life, and it's vital that you can feel comfortable working closely with your Adviser and the Voyager Wealth team.
This stage of the process involves a 30 minute online meeting so you can see we're real people, and we can discuss how we might be able to assist you and what that would look like. At the end of this meeting, you will know if there is a benefit in moving forward with formal advice, and if so what costs will be involved.
COST: This first meeting is on us.
The Financial Blueprint is a powerful tool to get total visibility and understanding of your current financial position and what gaps - or opportunities - are present that you might want to consider. Through detailed data gathering on your entire financial setup, your Adviser can review the key areas of your financial life to show whether you are on track for your financial goals. This report is created using powerful software to provide detailed investment analysis and cash flow projections to help you better understand where you're starting from.
COST: The Financial Blueprint costs $770 (individual) or $990 (couple) including GST, and is yours to keep with no obligation to move any further forward. If nothing else, you'll have a real understanding of where you are and what you might want to consider moving forward.
This part of the process takes you through the potential strategies we've identified to help you achieve - or exceed - your goals for your finances and for life. There are always a number of paths available to you, and your Adviser can take you through each one, helping you to understand the long-term impacts of each.
Depending on whether you want specific advice in a particular area only, or a comprehensive plan to ensure you are really maximising your financial position as much as possible, your Adviser will go through each relevant section and help you to understand what your options are and how you can improve in each area. The decisions are always yours to make, it is simply the job of your Adviser to educate you and help you fully understand so you can make an informed choice.
The cost of implementation, switching costs and establishment of new products will vary but these are fully disclosed in your Statement of Advice before you proceed. We will liaise with your existing providers and carefully monitor the initial setup and establishment of all of our recommendations.
COST: The total cost of the advice and implementation will range from $2,200 to $6,600 including GST depending on the complexity of the advice. This can be paid from your investments or by invoice and the costs are quoted in full before we start anything.
This is by FAR the most important stage.
If you ask us how to get from the east coast of Australia to the west coast, we can draw you a map. This is your initial Statement of Advice.
But if you want a support driver to help you navigate when roads get flooded, find alternative routes, discover shortcuts to get you there sooner and help you fix a flat tyre - this is our Ongoing Service.
Depending on your situation complexity and/or needs, this may include annual, quarterly or monthly reviews. It also includes ongoing monitoring of your position and investments to ensure your financial future remains on track and you are not exposed to unnecessary risks.
All clients on Ongoing Services receive;
COST: The cost of the ongoing services will depend on what level of advice and services we provide to you, but will vary from $143 per month upwards.
Some or all of this cost may be paid from your superannuation, if suitable.
Where do the meetings take place?
The initial meeting is online, either by phone or online video meeting - this way you can fit it into you busy schedule and can be completed at work or home.
The more formal advice meetings from there can be held anywhere - you can come to one of our many offices, or we can come to you either at work, home, a favorite café or we can arrange a serviced office at a location convenient to you. Of course, phone or Zoom are always an option and often preferred by clients to fit into their busy lives.
If I become an ongoing client, am I locked into an ongoing contract?
Our ongoing service is on renewable 12 month contracts, which can be cancelled with one call or email within 24 hours. We only ask that if you were to leave in the first year, we will invoice the remainder of the 12 months (no one has done this so far and we hope no one would ever want to!)
What if I only need a one-off piece of advice?
If you have a single area you wish to discuss we can arrange a quote for a one-off advice fee.
Are fees tax deductible?
Ongoing service fees relating to investments outside of superannuation may be tax deductible. We will work with your Accountant if needed to ensure you get the maximum deduction.
